“Uncanny Valley” is a horror film, produced almost entirely by young artists, for young people. It’s a film about exploitation in the entertainment industry, finding hope through grief, and making it impossible for evil to hide.
Uncanny Valley was a children’s TV series that was pulled from air in 96′. But the characters inside never stopped existing, and their world is collapsing:
Every night, residents walk into the woods, dig a hole, and pull the plug on themselves.
When RICKY, an ex-jock, faces the same fate, metalhead CASSIE and sardonic geek ELLIOT, investigate MATT FLETCHER: the evil behind it all, the man who created their world and wrote himself in.
Fletcher isn’t a typical foe like a monster or an alien—they must uncover the real-world abuse he inflicted on the young stars of his series and free their souls.
