In 1996, the network pulled the plug on UNCANNY VALLEY, a children’s TV Show — similar to Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of the Dark.

But the characters inside the TV Show never stopped existing, and their world is collapsing. Every night, residents of the Valley walk into the woods, dig a hole, and pull the plug on themselves.

When RICKY, an ex-jock, faces the same fate, metalhead CASSIE and sardonic geek ELLIOT, investigate MATT FLETCHER: the evil behind it all, the man who created Uncanny Valley, profited on their suffering, and wrote himself into their world.

THE TEAM

JORDAN MIRRIONE (he/him) is the Writer, Director, and Producer of Uncanny Valley. His short film Prom House and The Fight or Flight Response premiered in spring and fall 2023 at the historic Cranford Theatre in New Jersey. Both screenings became town-wide events, drawing local media attention and sold-out audiences.

JOSHUA R. PANGBORN (he/him) is portraying Matt Fletcher in Uncanny Valley. Joshua is an award-winning actor, writer, and founder of SideKick Productions, a queer, fat and sex-positive horror production company. His credits include a recurring role on HBO’s The Chair Company, an appearance on Peacock’s Poker Face, and the award-winning series Skeleton Crew and Demon Doctor. A two-time John Waters Award recipient, Joshua holds a doctorate in English Literature and is the author of the debut collection Homo Phobias.

EVILISE QUIJANO (she/her) is a certified Hair & Makeup Artist and Special Effects Department Head with over 20 years of experience across film, television, commercial, and branded productions. Evilise has led departments on multiple feature films and has worked with notable talent including Grammy award winning singer Sam Smith, Academy Award Winner Uma Thurman, and The Walking Dead star Seth Gilliam.

MARC SORILLO a.k.a Merc Yes (or just “Merc”), is a musician, composer, DJ & producer from Harlem NYC. Merc is a founding member of the band All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors. He has performed throughout the U.S., Europe playing guitar, keyboards and DJing. He co-owns a studio in NYC where he works with musical artists as well as a film/media composer. To date, he has over 300 songs published/co-published.

ZOË REED (they/them) is making their Film/TV debut in Uncanny Valley as Cassie. a proud native of Miami, Florida. Born to an immigrant mother from the Netherlands and a 1st generation Cuban Jewish father – they got their start in community theater at age 8, attended the performing arts high school New World School of the Arts, and it wasn’t until attending Mason Gross that passion and pure love for acting gained rigor and discipline. Select Rutgers Theater Company credits include Laertes in Hamlet, Chiron in Titus Andronicus, and Rivkele in God of Vengeance.

ATTICUS BRAVO-SMITH (he/him) is making his TV/Film debut with Uncanny Valley as Ricky. A NJ/NYC based actor, musician, poet, and philosopher, Atticus is currently a junior at Mason Gross School of the Arts pursuing a BFA in Acting. Shaped by the loss of his father in 2020 and the upheavals that followed, Atticus is determined to help the world awake to its own boundless potential. Select credits include The Ghost of King Hamlet, Jesus in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and Orphans of the Silent. Represented by Rave Talent.

SAMI KENNETT (she/her) is potraying Linda in Uncanny Valley. Her credits include Snow White in Disenchanted! (2nd US Off-Broadway National Tour), Female Lead Swing in Little Women (2nd US Broadway National Tour), Jill in Jilted (an original musical by Lauryn Gaffney), Ensemble in Jekyll and Hyde (WPPAC), Emma Goldman in Tintypes (Porthouse Professional Theatre), and Sheila in Hair (Kent State University).

COMEDY FUNDRAISER – JUST JAKE’S – MONTCLAIR – MAY 2026

A one-night comedy fundraiser at Just Jake’s in Montclair, New Jersey, benefiting Uncanny Valley. Kevin Bartini (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Daily Show, Colbert Report) headlines, with Zach Vandegrift opening and Jay Joshi hosting.

KEVIN BARTINI is a nationally touring comedian, writer, and actor. You’ve seen him as Billy Jones on Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and HBO’s And Just Like That. Discovered by Jon Stewart, he spent years warming up audiences for The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

ZACH VANDEGRIFT is an NYC-based comedian. Featured at the New York Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, he performs around New York City nightly. Charmingly neurotic and sharp on stage.

JAY JOSHI is a New Jersey–based stand-up comedian known for her bold, relatable humor rooted in her Indian background and life after 50. She brings sharp wit and high-energy hosting that connects instantly with diverse audiences.
